Giorgio’s Baiting Hollow, a popular Long Island wedding venue, was one of 16 more bars and restaurants statewide that had their liquor licenses suspended for “egregious” violations of coronavirus regulations, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Tuesday.
Giorgio’s license was suspended Saturday. On Friday, investigators with the state’s task force reported seeing 95 people at a wedding reception — nearly twice the legal limit.
Half of the guests were seen “standing and mingling inside the premises, while the other half were outside on a deck, standing, socializing, and drinking — most without facial coverings,” according to a news release from Cuomo.
